Position Overview
J. Kent Staffing is interviewing and hiring immediately for a temporary Medical Assistant within our client’s well known hospital. The Medical Assistant would support a highly respected doctor, who specializes in spinal injury medicine and orthopedic surgery and will work closely with one other medical assistant and one other doctor in this spine and pain management center.
Duties will include taking vitals, filing and completing patient paperwork, scheduling tests, therapies, injections and surgeries with patients and writing out prescription refills. This spine center sees about 25 patients per day on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.
Qualified candidates will be highly dependable, punctual and proactive. Candidates should present with at least two years’ medical assistant experience, experience taking vitals: respiration, pulse, blood pressure, etc, and a Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution. This person should be comfortable handling paperwork and authorizations in addition to taking vitals.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 2-5 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
- strong undrestanding of medical terminology
- high dependable, punctual and proactive
- must be able to make a two month commitment to this assignment
