J. Kent Candidate presents with a CPA, BS in Accounting, and 12 years’ public accounting experience with smaller firms. Clients have been in the construction, nonprofit, insurance, real estate and pension plan arenas. Current role is a dual one: Tax Manager and Audit Supervisor for a CPA firm in the Denver area. Although the firm’s business is more audit-focused than tax, this Candidate is responsible for preparing all of the complicated tax returns and reviewing the returns of 2-3 staff level employees. Other responsibilities include preparing complicated real estate partnership returns and leading audit engagements for various clients. Thoroughly enjoys training and mentoring staff, and public accounting. Warm personality. Communicates very well. Has also participated in some business development opportunities.
