Audit Director - Public Accounting

Audit Directors lead and monitor the audit team and are responsible for audit directives.  They liaise between external auditors and managers, and communicate with senior management regarding audit engagements.  They may also schedule, lead, and plan the audit engagements.  Audit Directors help attract top talent to their firm, and ensure that GAAP and the firm’s standards and policies are strictly adhered to.  They develop new business solutions for both the firm and clients, and help to expand the client base.

Audit Directors generally have more experience and knowledge than any other auditing position.  They are required to be a CPA, and have more than 10 years of experience, sometimes in a Big 4 firm.  Audit Directors possess superlative leadership, critical thinking, and computer skills.
