The primary responsibility of a brand manager is to improve the value of brands or products for the company. Brand Managers dictate the performance of the products they brand, and therefore must be keenly aware of all of the latest marketing trends. They determine the position and direction of a product or service, and must possessive a current and comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior and perception. Brand Managers help to determine pricing, supply, sales targets, and development of a product.
This position requires superb leadership skills, and a unique balance of analytical and creative abilities.
