Director of Information Technology - Family Office

Position Overview
The Director of Information Technology reports directly to the Managing Principal(s).  This individual is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strategic plan for technology for a Single Family Office (SFO).  
 
Requirements
Education/Certifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • 1 or more advanced technology certificates are desirable, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), etc.
  • 7-10+ years’ experience managing or directing IT operations is required
  • Prior experience in an SFO environment is a strong plus
Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in related computer programs
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
  • Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability in IT planning, organization, and development
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to present ideas and IT solutions in a user-friendly language
 
 
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Advises and coordinates the technical infrastructure of the Single Family Office (SFO)
  • Responds to critical computer needs
  • Supports and upgrades highly specialized software requirements on an ongoing basis
  • Creates a positive impact on family connectivity and communications, as well as the costs and control of the SFO
 
Compensation – Corporate Type Benefit Package, Perks
This position can range from $75,000 - $150,000, depending on the complexity of the technology infrastructure required.
