Family Art Director

Position Overview
The Family Art Director reports to the Major Principal(s).  This individual is responsible for managing the family art collection.
 
Requirements
 
Education/Certifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art History or a related field required; Master’s degree is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience as a curator, art dealer, or art historian
  • Prior experience in an SFO environment a strong plus
Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
  • Familiarity with digital databases used to catalogue art collections
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of art preservation techniques and professionals
  • Familiar with art insurance and appraisals
  • Able to coordinate with top art professionals in the field
 
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Purchases, sells and manages the family art collection
  • Catalogues collections
  • Coordinates transportation
  • Manages insurance
  • Acts as a curator showcasing and educating the family and guests at home functions and events
 
Compensation – Corporate Type Benefit Package, Perks
This position can range from $75,000 - $200,000.
