Mortgage Processor
The primary responsibility of the Mortgage Processor is to ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by Mortgage Lenders. Mortgage Processors review the loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets required standards. They check loan documents such as income credit appraisal and title insurance documents, and prepare applications to be submitted to underwriting. Mortgage Processors type and mail approval and denial letter to applicants, and submit approved mortgage loan file to the Mortgage Closer for settlement.
Mortgage Processors are required to have a high school degree or GED, but an Associate’s degree is preferred. They must be meticulous, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
