Portfolio/Investment Analysts collect and analyze company financial statements, as well as sector, economic, statistical and political data in order to make recommendations for strategic investment decisions. They interpret data regarding price, stability, yields, and future trends, and then summarize this data using reports and graphs. Portfolio/Investment Analysts have regular meetings with clients and Fund Managers to advise on financial decisions.
Portfolio/Investment Analysts are generally required to have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, though an MBA is preferred. Prior experience is strongly preferred.
