VP / Director of Sales
The primary responsibility of the VP/Director of Sales is to manage two of a company’s most important assets; customers and revenues. The VP/Director of Sales leads a professional sales team in meeting or exceeding various sales objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and budgetary targets. This individual creates incentives, quotas, and campaigns to drive the sales team, while maintaining complex sales relationships with key customers. The VP/Director of Sales is also responsible for creating training programs for sales staff, overseeing sales technology, and determining key performance indicators.
VP / Director of Sales positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, though an MBA is often preferred. Previous years of experience, especially in roles that require frequent C-level interaction, is also favored.
