Miracle on Franklin Street: The Caritas Clinic at Saint Joseph Hospital
- 10/4/11 |

It's winter in Denver, and shop windows sparkle with beautiful baubles, and snow glistens like diamonds as Colorado greets the holiday season. The real gem though, lies in the heart of Denver, at 18th and Franklin Street. In keeping with the spirit of the season, J. Kent Staffing would like to showcase the Caritas Clinic at Saint Joseph Hospital for its dedicated, high-quality service to the community and its compassionate commitment to people in need.
Charity & Love
The Caritas Clinic may be unassuming on the outside, but this brick building is the equivalent of the Hope Diamond in the rough. Since its founding in 1967, the Caritas Clinic remains the central outpatient center for the care of the uninsured and the medically indigent patients of the Denver Metro area. The Caritas Clinic (Caritas derives from the Latin term for charity and love) has been steadily meeting the community's growing need for acute illness intervention and chronic disease management.
A Community Miracle
On an annual basis the Caritas Clinic takes care of more than 9,000 patients, of which 80% are uninsured. Caring for the poor and uninsured is at the heart of the Hospital’s mission, and no patient is turned away due to the inability to pay. For many struggling to attain health care, the Caritas Clinic is a true miracle.
Giving Back
Now that you’ve joined J. Kent in discovering this community treasure, we encourage you to pass on this information to those who may be in need. J. Kent is in a unique position to understand the struggle of many during these difficult economic times, and has made a contribution to the Caritas Clinic as a way of saying thanks to our wonderful clients over the past 30 years.
