A professional member’s association supporting the education community had an immediate and urgent need for a temporary Administrative Assistant.   The critical need was due to not one, but two, vacancies that occurred at the same time: (1) a resignation and (2) a termination of a 10 year employee.  Timing is everything, and in this case, the two open vacancies created a personnel management challenge.  Competent administrative staff was needed immediately to fill the void.  The client reached out to J. Kent to hire a top Administrative Assistant ASAP.

What Were the Requirements for the J. Kent Temporary Staff Member?

The Employer needed someone who could begin the temporary assignment immediately.  The ideal candidate would have 2 or more years of administrative experience in a corporate setting, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and excellent communication and people skills.  Most importantly, this temporary staff member had to possess a positive, “can do” attitude that would play an important role in working with a diverse membership base. The temporary staff member also needed to be able to step in and take over the position’s duties and responsibilities with very little training, and had to be able to think on their feet.  With this in mind, J. Kent Staffing immediately went to work finding a strong candidate for this position.
