- Pays FICA ( Federal Taxes - Social Security and Medicare)
- Pays FUTA ( Federal Taxes - Unemployment insurance)
- Pays SUTA (State Taxes - Unemployment insurance)
- Pays workers’ compensation insurance
- Pays payroll administration costs
- Completes tax and IRS reporting
- Issues annual W2
- Submits new hire report to State of Colorado
- Manages unemployment hearings
- Processes worker’s compensation claims
The Payroll Services Process
- Interviews new payroll staff member and executes payroll orientation
- Verifies legal right to work using government required I-9 verification process
- Conducts background checking at client’s direction and cost
- Processes standard payroll set-up and continued maintenance
- Pays its employees weekly*
- Initiates payroll delivery (electronic “Direct Deposit” or manual check)
- Fields payroll questions
- Provides weekly invoicing to your organization with copies of the Timesheet (electronic copies optional)
- Assumes Employer/Employee relationship, responsibilities, and legal tax obligations
- Conducts performance reviews
- Manages the Termination Process
- Provides Payroll Services for these employees at a percentage mark-up over their pay rate
*For large Payroll Services accounts, J. Kent can pick up Timesheets and deliver paychecks.
