We are a boutique, independent, woman-owned, Colorado company, founded in 1979. We have one office in the heart of Denver between downtown and Cherry Creek, but serve client companies throughout the Denver Metro area and Colorado.

We pride ourselves in our dedicated and experienced recruiting a team – they are all degreed professionals who have purposefully made recruiting their career choice. We have very low turnover, so there is a good chance that the person you worked with last time is still available to help you. Our staff prides itself on delivering recruiting and staffing services that are tailored to each of our unique client companies. We care about developing a long-term partnership with our clients; not just a one-time solution.

In the end, we know it comes down to delivering the right people to your company – direct hire and temp-to-hire candidates or temporary staff who make an immediate difference to your business. For direct hire and temp-to-hire searches, we select only our top candidates to present to you. If we don’t think a candidate is an excellent fit for your company and your open position, we will not send you their resume. What types of recruiting and staffing services does J. Kent offer to Employers?

J. Kent Staffing is a full-service recruiting and staffing firm, focusing on Direct Hire and Temp-to-Hire searches, and Temporary staffing, both full-time and part-time. We have a GSA Schedule and provide temporary staff to the federal government. We also hire event staff for conventions, trade shows, concerts, sporting events, and banquets. What locations/areas do you service?

J. Kent Staffing is proud of it’s Denver and Colorado roots. We primarily work with companies who have offices in the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area, but can also help employers in other Colorado cities and regions including, but not limited to: Boulder, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and some mountain and western slope areas.

How much does J. Kent Staffing charge for its services?

Our Direct Hire searches are contingency-based, so a Professional Services Fee is owed to J. Kent only if you hire a Candidate referred to you by us. Our Direct Hire searches have a Replacement Guarantee.

For Temp-to-Hire and Temporary Staffing, we charge an all-inclusive hourly bill rate which varies based on our employee’s pay rate. The bill rate includes the employee’s pay rate, plus payroll burden (employer’s share of FICA, state and federal unemployment taxes, workers’ compensation, City Occupational Privilege Tax, if applicable), and operational costs for administration, payroll processing, and profit margin.

How do you vet your J. Kent Candidates?

J. Kent Staffing doesn’t take any short cuts when it comes to vetting potential candidates. All J. Kent Candidates go through a 2-stage interview process:

  1. A pre-screening phone interview with a J. Kent Recruiter, and then only the best are invited in for…
  2. A thorough in-person interview (video interviews are used when in-person interviews are logistically not possible, such as when a candidate currently lives out-of-state).

Each candidate who is brought in for stage 2, completes an in-depth employment application and MS Office skills testing (and other relevant tests such as accounting, typing, etc.).

Additionally, all J. Kent Employees are vetted with a pre-employment, Multi-State Criminal Check and Social Security Trace. Drug testing and other background checks can be administered, depending on your company’s policies.
