Candidate Profile

This UNC – Greeley 2008 graduate is passionately pursuing a CPA Certification and has netted 1+ years of public accounting experience in the audit department of one of Denver’s mid-size companies. During tenure, Staff Accountant assisted with the audit process of financial statement audits for financial institutions.  Responsibilities included pre-engagement planning, testing of general ledger accounts and client prepared reconciliations.  Also completed post-fieldwork wrap-up, engagement documentation finding, and prepared draft reports for PDPA examinations, etc., and performed directors’ examinations for smaller financial institutions.

Currently employed as a Staff Accountant with a national company that is downsizing its Denver office, this J. Kent Candidate is looking for another opportunity to gain greater accounting depth, knowledge, and experience. While in college, this well rounded J. Kent Candidate was a member of Beta Alpha PSI – Accounting Fraternity worked as an Internship Campus Representative with the Walt Disney World College Program, minored in Drama, and still found the time to perform in many on-campus dance presentations and work part-time as a Student Accounting Technician.
