Grants Managers research, identify, and often write grant proposals and applications for nonprofit organizations. They review information and literature from funding organizations and foundations in order to determine eligibility, often communicating with contact people from these organizations to ensure compliance with all requirements. Grants Managers also collaborate with program staff at the nonprofit to help determine project objectives and how to allocate the budget. In some cases, Grants Managers also write the proposals and ensure that it is prepared in the proper format. They also are responsible for all contact with the donor, including evaluation visits and reports.
