3 Program Assistants Start Temp-to-Hire Jobs in January at Denver Nonprofit

Alex

Program Assistant

In January 2024, J. Kent Staffing hired 3 more temp-to-hire employees into the role of Program Assistant. Our Denver-based nonprofit client teaches our youth about financial literacy through hands-on programs held outside of a typical classroom setting.

What does it take to become a successful Program Assistant? Most importantly, one must have a passion for working with school-aged children and, with energy and enthusiasm, be able to ignite a spark about learning about money, financial literacy, and business.

Meet Alex – One of Three New Program Assistants

Alex grew up and attended college in Philadelphia where he received a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media. His original goal was to work in the gaming industry but, after completing a couple of internships, he decided to explore a more rewarding career path.

He has always been into fitness and decided to become a CrossFit Trainer in 2019. He worked in that field for close to 4 years while pursuing his Master of Science in Nutrition Education.

Alex always had a desire to live in Denver and finally made the move in 2022. He worked for the next school year as a Program Coordinator for an AmeriCorps program that provided tutoring for reading literacy. This is where Alex realized that nonprofit work, and making a difference in the lives of others, was what inspired him career-wise. Alex is looking forward to continuing to further develop his career at our client’s nonprofit organization.

In his free time, you will most likely find Alex on the mats practicing jiu-jitsu or embracing the serenity of yoga. He is also a passionate reader of fantasy and fiction.

Thank you, Alex, for making such a positive impact on the lives of our youth!
