Congratulations to our four J. Kent Associates highlighted in this April 2023 Placement Snapshot. They have all been successfully hired on by our client!
In March 2023, J. Kent Staffing hired 4 temp-to-hire and long-term temporary employees for the Department of Operational Excellence at our new client, a global leader in logistic real estate with offices in downtown Denver. This relatively new department focuses on process improvement using lean methodologies and change management.
Olivia, Project Coordinator. After attaining her degree in Health Promotion and working briefly in case management, Olivia decided to embark on a new adventure. She moved away from her hometown in Massachusetts and became a bicycle tour travel guide before eventually relocating to Colorado where her sister lived (Olivia’s sister, Veronica, also found her current position through J. Kent Staffing)!
Once in Colorado, Olivia worked at a private school, starting as a teacher before being moved into a Special Projects role. This is where Olivia learned she enjoys and excels at project coordination which led her to apply for J. Kent Staffing’s Project Coordinator opening. Needless to say, she landed the job! Outside of work, Olivia loves to ski, stroll (and run) through Cheesman Park, play pickle ball, and hang out with her cat, Cheddar.
Mike, Project Manager. Mike was recently the founder, owner, and operator of a web design and development company. After 15 years in this field, he sold his company to one of his employees and set out looking for a challenging Project Manager role in a new industry. He had worked for J. Kent Staffing previously doing supplemental event gigs, so reconnected with us in early 2023 about his job search.
Mike also has his bachelor’s degree in psychology and is a certified Life Coach. In his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, and DJ’ing and running social events, such as murder mysteries and swing dances.
Benjamin, Project Coordinator. Benjamin grew up in Maine and moved to Colorado to attend University of Denver. He recently graduated with a BA in International Studies and a minor in Economics. During school, he had the opportunity to intern for the US Department of State at the US Consulate in Dubai, and also to study in South Africa and Hawaii.
Benjamin is in the midst of a lengthy interview process for a government role but is excited to keep busy and gain experience working as a temporary Project Coordinator until that process concludes.
Giovanni, Process Business Analyst. Giovanni has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Buffalo and a Professional Certificate in Google Project Management. His most recent positions have been as an Operations Engineer and a Technical Project Manager. He has bounced back and forth between New York and Colorado for his jobs, but originally met his wife in Colorado and they recently decided to relocate back here.
Giovanni’s experience has been with smaller firms and startups, so he was excited to gain experience working for our large, global client. He enjoys playing piano, skiing, and spending time with his wife, two cats, and dog!
