Vicki has had a fulfilling career primarily focused in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. For 16 years, up until 2021, she worked as a Clinical Intake Coordinator in the psychiatric institute of a large Colorado hospital system.
With her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, in addition to her work at the hospital, she started her own nonprofit company in 2011 that helped individuals and their families integrate back into normal daily life after a stroke or brain injury.
When Vicki’s nonprofit began to slow down, she came to J. Kent Staffing looking for supplemental temp work. Over several months, Vicki enjoyed working a variety of assignments – from administrative support at a nonprofit, to event staff and event supervisory roles during J. Kent’s busy events season.
In June, Vicki’s J. Kent Recruiter hired her for an Office Coordinator temporary role for an exciting Denver hospitality company supporting the ski industry. The company had been challenged finding a dependable individual with strong customer service skills and a high level of professionalism. They decided to try a different staffing agency and ended up partnering with J. Kent Staffing – a neighbor in their RiNo area.
In less than two months, our client hired Vicki as their permanent employee. Vicki loves the fun, active company culture and she and her husband are thrilled with their free IKON passes as one of the many company perks!
Looking back, we’re sure Vicki would have never imagined this part of her story unfolding this way. But that can be the magic of using a temporary staffing agency, especially when you embrace each assignment with enthusiasm and an open mind!
Vicki is originally from the Chicago area and is also an Irish citizen – she has dual citizenship. She loves to cycle, ski, and hike; has a passion for art and travel; and her favorite cuisine is Indian. One of her favorite places is Banff in the Canadian Rockies, and someday she hopes to visit Japan – she loves its culture, food, and the beauty and design of its architecture.
