We LOVE the challenge of working with discerning Employers who will only hire the best (maybe because we’re the same way!). This independent, Denver based commercial insurance brokerage had been struggling for 6 months to find an Account Manager Assistant to add to their team. With 3 strict requirements: a 4 year college degree, a Colorado Property & Casualty license, and 1-2 years (nothing more, nothing less) of insurance experience, it wasn’t an easy find. In addition, our Employer wanted someone who would fit into their active, client focused corporate culture, and who has exhibited leadership abilities through sports, school activities or community involvement.
The moment Jessica stepped through the doors of J. Kent Staffing we knew we had found the right person. After our Employer met with Jessica, they immediately extended an offer. Jessica had graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia with a BSBA, majoring in Risk Management and Insurance (one of very few universities with this type of specific program). During college, Jessica was a Rush leader for her sorority and a mentor to an at-risk youth in her community.
After college, Jessica moved to Steamboat Springs (with the desire to learn to snowboard!) and worked in customer service at high end resorts for 2 years before moving to Denver to pursue her chosen profession in insurance. After working for 1 year for a small insurance company and receiving her P&C license, this Account Manager Assistant position with our Employer was the perfect opportunity for Jessica to advance her career with a company that values professional training, development and continued education.
6 MONTH UPDATE: After just 3 months of employment, our satisfied Employer promoted Jessica to Account Manager, which is usually a 6 month to 1 year transition period. Jessica has truly set the bar for new Account Manager Assistants to be hired at this A+ Denver Employer.
