Temporary, Temp-to-Hire & Payrolling Assignments

The majority of our temporary employees are not eligible for benefits and are paid based on the hours that they work on any of our non-government jobs, including temporary, temp-to-hire, and payrolling assignments.

However, certain assignments will include some benefits (based on our client’s participation) which could include:

  1. Paid parking, or transportation reimbursement
  2. Paid holidays
  3. Bonuses
  4. Other perks such as free meals and snacks

Your J. Kent Staffing Manager will inform you if any benefits apply while on assignment at one of our clients.

Government (SCA) Assignments

All J. Kent Employees assigned to one of our government clients under the Service Contract Act (SCA) receive a generous benefits package including:

  1. 100% paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee coverage
  2. Employer contribution to a retirement savings account
  3. Paid holidays
  4. Paid vacation
  5. Paid sick time

When you are hired for one of our government assignments, you will receive complete details on the above benefits.

Referral Bonus = $50/Referral

Outstanding J. Kent Employees will often refer friends and family to us who are seeking employment. We always appreciate your high-quality referrals! You can earn a Referral Bonus after your referral works 80 hours as a J. Kent Employee, or after the Replacement Guarantee expires if we placed them on a Direct Hire position with one of our Clients. There is no limit on the number of Referral Bonuses that you can receive.

Rules & Conditions

  1. You can earn a $50.00 bonus if your referral has not been registered with or employed by J. Kent before the referral.
  2. You must have worked for J. Kent within the previous 90 days of the date that your referral registers with J. Kent.
  3. The individual you refer must state “referred” on the J. Kent Employment Application in response to the question “How did you hear of us?” and they must also verbally let their J. Kent Staffing Manager know who referred them when they come into J. Kent’s office for an in-person interview.
  4. Each referred employee must have completed 80 hours on J. Kent’s payroll or – if we placed them in a Direct Hire position – the Replacement Guarantee must expire.
  5. There is no limit to the number of New Employee Referral Bonuses.
  6. You must submit a bonus request via email to your J. Kent Staffing Manager.
  7. All bonus requests are subject to an accounting audit.
  8. Requests not submitted by email within 30 days of eligibility (80 hours worked by your referral) are forfeited.
  9. Bonus will be paid no later than 2 payroll periods after the request by email is received and approved.
