J. Kent’s Accounting Manager Volunteers Time Assembling Easter Baskets for Underserved Children

On March 24^th, our Accounting Manager, Reean Waddle (pictured 3^rd from the right), teamed up with Cathy Rieber, a Discovery Toys consultant, at A Precious Child’s headquarters in Broomfield, CO.  Alongside other Discover Toys consultants, friends, family, and other volunteers, they spent the day organizing and assembling Easter baskets for Colorado’s underserved children of all ages.

Baskets assembled by age groups included an age-appropriate Discovery Toy, books, Easter candy, miscellaneous toys and trinkets, and a toothbrush and toothpaste. A total of 640 baskets were created over multiple days, just missing this year’s fundraising goal of 700 baskets.

On Saturday, April 1st, A Precious Child held an Easter basket giveaway event for those who could attend and made all remaining baskets available in their Resource Center for families to pick up in time for Easter.

A Precious Child, a Colorado company, provides children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. This is the 7th year Discovery Toy consultants have fundraised to make these baskets available for the children of A Precious Child. Discovery Toys, having been in business for over 40 years, is the premier educational toy company dedicated to helping early childhood development through play.
