Oil and Gas Administrative Assistants provide administrative support to a person or team in the oil and gas industry.  Typical duties may include word processing, spreadsheets, arranging travel, and scheduling meetings.  Oil and Gas Administrative Assistants also format complex contractual documents, and issue or file these documents as necessary.  They prepare presentation materials and reports, and gather information and paperwork as needed.

Oil and Gas Administrative Assistants generally have 2-5 years of oil and gas industry experience.  They also possess strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills; proficiency in other programs such as Visio and SAP is viewed as an asset.  Typically they have a minimum of a GED or high school diploma, though an Associate’s degree is preferred.
