Job Overview

Real Estate/Portfolio Managers are responsible for the development and implementation of real estate strategies and transactions from conceptual scope of development through project execution and turnover.  They provide the direction and leadership for all aspects of managing the regional portfolio for any assigned regions.

Real Estate/Portfolio Managers are expected to provide corporate real estate leadership and advisory on existing and new business development initiatives involving property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and strategic planning. They ensure that all real estate issues are addressed to meet the customer’s business goals, as well as compliance with company and department policies, standards and practices.? Real Estate/Portfolio Managers act as key coordinators between business groups and project management teams for independent projects and real estate requirements.

They also take part in developing annual strategic financial plans, including plans for cost savings.  Real Estate/Portfolio Managers prepare property, regional capital expenditure budgets annually, develop innovative concepts for short and long term cost reductions and service improvements, and provide strategic advice including variance reports and benchmark data.?

A Bachelor’s degree is required for those working as a Real Estate/Portfolio Manager.  They must have experience in real estate and construction strategies, as well as third party leasing.
