Minimum Wage Updates Effective Jan. 1, 2025

Posted by: Karen Booher on November 29th, 2024

It’s that time of year again! Yes, the holidays are here, but that’s not what we’re talking about.

Here’s our annual update on what’s happening effective Jan. 1, 2025 with minimum wages locally, around the country, and also at J. Kent Staffing.

Denver and Colorado’s 2025 Minimum Wage – $18.81 and $14.81 Per Hour, Respectively

The minimum wage for employees (not including tipped employees) in Denver will be 27% higher than the rest of the state. On January 1, 2025, Denver’s minimum wage will increase from $18.29 to $18.81 per hour (a 2.8%+ increase). The rest of the state will increase from $14.42 in 2024 to $14.81 per hour as of January 1, 2025 (a 2.7% increase).

J. Kent Staffing’s 2025 Minimum Wage – $20.00 Per Hour (up one dollar from $19.00 in 2024)

At J. Kent Staffing, we are committed to providing high-quality jobs and competitive wages to all our employees. Each year, we announce our own minimum wage. This is not law, but rather a bar we set where our entry-level positions – clerical, reception, customer service, warehouse/light labor, data entry, event staff – are guaranteed to pay that as a minimum (and most often, more).

So, whether we are putting our temporary associates to work at client offices in Denver, Aurora, Boulder, Broomfield, Lakewood, Centennial, or any other city in Colorado, they will be earning a minimum of $20.00 per hour in 2025.
