Registration Desk

Our client, an association serving the international reproductive medicine business community, held their annual conference at the Colorado Convention Center in October. There were over 5,000 attendees from around the world, including a broad mix of physicians, mental health experts, lab technicians, nurses, and other professionals in the field.

J. Kent Staffing won the bid to staff this project with 12 Registration Desk Clerks, 6 Room Monitors, and 1 On-Site Supervisor over a 6-day period.

The Challenge?

Our client was adamant about having the same 19 people work each day of the conference, so we were tasked with finding people able to commit to working 4-6 consecutive days. No substitutions, no back-ups. Basically, no “Plan B”, which is not the usual for event staffing.

Our J. Kent Recruiters rose to the challenge and hired a great team who brought their best to this event. All 19 showed up and the event ran smoothly from start to finish under the direction of our onsite supervisor, Becky (photo inset).

Meet 4 Members of our Registration Desk Team:

Julie (left) – She is currently looking for a full-time position after being laid off earlier this year and is using temporary/event work to earn supplemental income. This is the third, multi-day event that Julie has worked for J. Kent Staffing since this summer. We appreciate your help, Julie!

DeAnn (sitting center) – DeAnn is a Denver native who recently moved back from Texas to be closer to her mom. She’s had an extensive administrative/operations career primarily in the healthcare sector, so she was excited to work this conference for reproductive medicine. DeAnn is currently supplementing her income with temporary work while looking for a full-time job.

Barbara (standing) – Barbara recently left her job as operations manager at a Denver hotel and was planning on moving back to Florida. Those plans fell through, so she is remaining in Denver and open to temporary work while seeking a position to continue her career in the hospitality field.

Michele (right) –After taking early retirement in 2023 from her job as a Business Analyst, Michele has been enjoying traveling and spending more time with her family. Here and there, she loves to get out and do short-term temporary work. We love having you on our event team, Michele!

Thank You for Your Commitment, J. Kent Event Team!
