3-Month Remote Temporary Job Allows for a Seamless Transition Back to Colorado

Erin

Conference Coordinator

J. Kent’s corporate client is a professional association serving the financial services industry. In preparation for their April 2021 virtual conference, they needed a temporary staff member from February to May to handle all pre-through-post conference duties and to be the primary conference customer service point-of-contact for all members, attendees, and staff.

Erin was one of three J. Kent Candidates who interviewed for this role with our client and was an instant standout for the position. Although she had no event or meeting coordination experience, she had all the necessary hard and soft skills – great MS Office and computer skills, business operations experience, professionalism, a positive attitude/personality, and tremendous organizational skills.

A Colorado native, Erin graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Business Administration, and Concentrations in Organizational Management and Corporate Finance, and an Emphasis in Supply Chain Management and International Business. Needless to say, she’s very bright and career-minded!

After graduating, Erin put her degree to use working for the next 5 years in supply chain, distribution management, and business operations. In 2019, she ventured off to pursue a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work for a family friend’s lodge in Utah doing everything from front desk and concierge services, to implementing a new online reservations system.

A year later, it was time to return to Colorado. Still in Utah, this 3-month remote job opportunity really caught Erin’s eye. It allowed her to make a seamless transition back to Colorado where she has been splitting her time between Castle Rock and Steamboat Springs – lifestyle luxuries that can only be realized with remote work!

Erin – we appreciate your hard work on this project and wish you the very best in your next professional endeavor!
