In August 2011, a transportation company serving the oil & gas industry relocated their U.S. headquarters to Denver. After conducting a lengthy 2 month search for a Billing Analyst through their own efforts, the Director of Human Resources turned to Google, like most of us, to try to identify a Denver staffing agency that could recruit the most qualified Billing Analyst for their company. Ultimately, they found J. Kent Staffing to help identify this critical team member for their Denver accounting department.
Our client had interviewed 10+ people over a two month period, but as we all know, finding the “right fit” for your company is not always an easy task. Their ideal candidate was an individual with 5+ years of solid billing experience specifically in the transportation (trucking) industry, a requirement that is not always easy to find.
After the first interview and meeting with Derika, the Director of Finance was very impressed. Derika presented with 15 years of transportation industry experience and 10 years of high volume billing and cost analysis. She had the experience they were looking for, and also was the right cultural fit for the company.
Our client was quick to recognize that this well rounded candidate would not last long in the Denver job market and therefore, an offer of employment was extended through J. Kent to Derika the next day. Remarkably, Derika was able to transition immediately from her former employer who was closing their Denver office, right into a new position with no time in the unemployment line.
