Winnie is a bright, personable recent college graduate with a BA in Communications and Media. She relocated to Colorado from the Boston area in 2019 and met with a J. Kent Staffing Recruiter, eager to find an entry-level office position to get her career started.
With previous work experience as a Receptionist and from an internship in social media marketing, Winnie knew she was looking for an opportunity that would showcase her communications skills. She was eager to explore temporary work to get a feel for different types of companies and positions.
In September 2019, Winnie interviewed for and was placed on a temporary assignment as a Program Assistant for one of J. Kent Staffing’s non-profit clients where she was working with children in a learning environment. 2-months into her temp assignment, our client hired her on as their full-time employee due to her consistent work ethic, upbeat attitude, and passion for the cause. Our client unfortunately had to furlough Winnie in March 2020 due to COVID, with the intent to bring her back for the Spring 2021 Semester.
In the meantime, Winnie reconnected with J. Kent Staffing and, once again, was hired for a new temporary assignment. Our construction client was in need of an efficient, reliable, and personable Receptionist to support their office during the busy summer season. With Winnie’s past experience and a strong ambition to succeed, she far surpassed our client’s expectations during the 2-month assignment!
Hopefully, in the Spring of 2021, Winnie’s position (Placement #1) will be reinstated from furloughed status. Until then, J. Kent Staffing is committed to keeping Winnie busy with more challenging and rewarding assignments where she can continue to develop her skills and experience.
