Born and raised in Florida, Heather graduated from Florida International University in 2016 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. She landed her first job out of college with a subprime credit bureau as their marketing coordinator, where she worked for over a year. After executing countless marketing campaigns and traveling for numerous financial services conferences throughout the year, Heather decided to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada, to pursue freelance work.
Living in Las Vegas for the next few years, Heather had the opportunity to work and freelance in many different industries, including marketing, corporate services, technology, hospitality, and insurance. She accepted every challenge she could, from digital marketing to social media, project management, client relations, and content creation.
She often enjoyed the freedom of freelancing by loading up her Jeep and heading out into the desert mountains to take photos and explore surrounding states like California, Utah, and Arizona. She also set aside time to visit her closest friends throughout the years and spend time in their new home states of Texas and Alaska.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, life changed for Heather as it did for so many others. She suddenly became unemployed and worked delivering pizzas until she decided to move to Denver in the summer of 2020. After a year and a half of working as a Loan Officer Assistant, Heather decided to leave her remote position and look for a local, Denver-based opportunity.
She connected with a J. Kent Staffing Recruiter and was able to secure a temp-to-hire position as a Communications and Sales Assistant for a non-profit organization supporting the financial services industry. Heather loves her new role, which she started in April 2022, and has already had the opportunity to travel for their annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
Heather enjoys skiing in the winter months and hiking in the warmer months. She loves everything about the Rocky Mountains and is looking forward to a summer spent outdoors practicing her longboarding skills.
