CU-Boulder Master’s Student Secures Temporary Job in Higher Education While Completing Degree

Jackson

Administrative Assistant

Originally from Pueblo, Colorado, Jackson completed his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Colorado in Boulder in 2019. He continued at CU in pursuit of his master’s degree in Journalism which he will soon be completing.

Jackson worked as a Teaching Assistant at CU during part of his master’s program. He also took on a sales position but found he was better suited to the operational and administrative aspects of the job rather than sales.

He enjoys the collegiate and academia setting, so when he connected with J. Kent Staffing to find full-time employment while completing his degree, his J. Kent Recruiter quickly matched him with an Administrative Assistant position at CU’s Denver campus. In two short months, Jackson has found his position very rewarding! He facilitated in the process for two high-level searches for an Associate Vice Chancellor and a Dean, and helped to coordinate a governmental visit at the university by a member of the U.S. Cabinet.

Jackson has truly embraced living and working in downtown Denver. A big baseball fan, he enjoys Rockies games at Coors Field, playing the guitar, and also tending to his multiple aquariums!

Jackson – Thank You for Making a Positive Impact – Everyday!
