In March of 2012, J. Kent’s Denver Recruiters were engaged to conduct a Contingency, Direct Hire Search for an Office Manager for the international firm. Our client, a global architectural design firm, whose practice is dedicated exclusively to commercial interiors, has offices throughout the world to include the Americas, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The award-winning firm, including its talented architectural and engineering partners, has interpreted the brand of many Fortune 500 organizations for more than 30 years through their stunning, interior corporate designs. The Office Manager search for their Denver office location was given top priority by the company’s management, and a Contingency Agreement for Search and Recruiting was quickly executed.
Three weeks after the Contingency Agreement for Direct Hire was signed, J. Kent’s Recruiters had completed the search and identified the right candidate. With the search concluded, and the candidate selected by our client, an employment offer was extended to and accepted by Kelsey. With the company’s global reach and diversified clients, an exceptional candidate such as Kelsey, with her with multi-cultural experiences in Europe, India, South East Asia, New Zealand and the United States, was a good match for our international, creative client.
Kelsey graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and History; and a 3.42 GPA in May 2007. For three years while in college, she was on the Division I rowing team, coached Special Olympics and was a Special Education classroom aide. During her college years she also held two meaningful internships, a Production Assistant Intern with WGBH – “Antiques Roadshow”; and Production Assistant Intern with Arnold Worldwide.
After graduation from college, Kelsey’s heart strings pulled her in the direction of the Peace Corps, where she worked with disadvantaged youth in Bulgaria for 2 fulfilling and challenging years. Upon completion of the Peace Corps commitment, she returned from Bulgaria to her hometown of Chicago, where she worked for several years as an Executive Assistant for an international investment banking firm.
Kelsey with her diverse skills set of accounting/financial support, database and project management, marketing, executive support and extensive spreadsheet preparation experience was very good match for this commercial interiors architectural design firm. However, most importantly, Kelsey’s communication skills, critical thinking abilities and sound business sense and judgment were readily recognized as a strong asset able to provide the right kind of support and office management oversight for the busy Denver office. Today, Kelsey works closely with architects, commercial interior designers and global engineering partners in support of timely project execution and delivery. The Denver office is a close knit team of hard working professionals who work on exciting and challenging international projects. Kelsey is now a pivotal part of that professional team.
