J. Kent Staffing, a Colorado staffing agency and Denver recruiting firm has provided employment opportunities for talented professionals in the Denver, Colorado market since 1979. Since the company’s inception, we have experienced 5 recessions, contracted economies and subsequent expansions.
Although the climb out of the Great Recession of 2008 has been much slower than any of us would have liked, at J. Kent we are seeing some signs of new job creation. Of course, new job creation and increased hiring activity are the keys to getting us out of such a badly bruised economy, especially in the manufacturing sector.
J. Kent’s client, an international, European based, solar manufacturing firm created a new position for a SAP Order Management Specialist. Although this type of talent is not in abundance, J. Kent’s seasoned and tested Denver recruiters found the needle in the haystack – an SAP Order Management Specialist with a bonus of an SAP Certification.
During the years 2008-2011, recent college graduates have also experienced the challenge in finding a job after graduation, especially one in their field. Therefore, Bryan’s Placement Story brings to our attention positive signs in three areas of economic concern:
Bryan graduated from Penn State in 2011 with a BS in Operations. Through his college course work he enrolled in 3 SAP courses, which led to his SAP certification at such a young age. Our international manufacturer quickly recognized that the combination of Bryan’s degree and certification would be of immediate value to their organization. A Temp- to-Hire job offer was extended to him by his Denver Staffing Manager after the 2nd interview with our solar manufacturing client.
Augmenting his degree and certification, Bryan was also able to support his candidacy with meaningful, work related experience, drawn upon his high school and college years. A hard worker, Bryan revealed his key job related skills through part-time, summer or temporary positions held, to include:
Denver, Colorado employers are seeking highly skilled individuals, and many job openings are going unfilled for skilled trades, internet technology, engineers, sales representatives and machine operators – even in this time of high unemployment.
However, in Bryan’s case, he brought the right skills to J. Kent Staffing with his SAP Certification and MAS500 experience. As a result, his Staffing Manager was able to find the needle in the haystack for our client and offer to Bryan Temp-to-Hire employment within one week after his 1st interview with J. Kent Staffing, and one month after his move to Denver. Hard work in college in and out of the classroom paid off. Good job Bryan! Welcome to Denver.
