In 2011, Claire moved to Denver, Colorado and registered with several Denver staffing agencies. J. Kent Staffing was fortunate to be one of those staffing firms.
During her tenure with J. Kent, Claire was repeatedly requested for a variety of temporary Denver jobs. Why? Because she has an outstanding work ethic and attitude, perfect attendance record, advanced computer skills, and she is a reliable team player. In 2008, Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation, with a focus on Museum Studies. Claire’s dream Denver job was to work as a museum professional, or in the nonprofit field. However, Claire understood that such a dream job would be difficult to find.
In this challenging Denver job market, job offers for even highly qualified candidates such as Claire are scarce! Recognizing her many talents and priceless work ethic and attitude, Claire received a job offer from one of J. Kent’s clients, an oil & gas firm, while on a Denver temp job as an Administrative Assistant. The job offer was exceptional, and with a salary and benefits far exceeding her expectations. After much painful deliberation, Claire made the very difficult decision to turn down the job offer and continue to her pursue her dream job.
Since 1979, J. Kent Staffing has helped hundreds of Denver nonprofits, foundations, and associations hire key staff that can make a day-to-day sustainable difference to their organizations. In January 2012, J. Kent Staffing received a call from the CEO of a Denver museum. Due to a large expansion and opening of a second location, the CEO was in search of an Executive Assistant / Campaign Administrator to support him, and to help with the administration of a $20+ million capital campaign. Could this possibly be Claire’s dream job?
J. Kent’s Recruiters, with many years of Denver staffing experience, instantly recognized the potential match to Claire’s resume. A Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation, with a focus on Museum Studies, of course is a great start. However, her previous nonprofit experience working as a Resource Development Assistant, and experience as an Architectural Historian performing Phase I/Reconnaissance architectural surveys through exterior photography and visual inspection of over 500 properties also supported her candidacy.
Claire was one of several J. Kent Candidates selected to interview with the CEO, and ultimately identified as the top candidate for the Executive Assistant / Campaign Administrator position. A job offer was extended to Claire, she quickly and happily accepted, and the CEO wasted no time as she started her new, one-of-a-kind Denver job the next day. Welcome to Denver, Colorado Claire! Your dream job is now a reality.
