Educator and Outdoor/Agricultural Enthusiast Finds Home with Denver-Based Nonprofit Organization

Cody

Temp-to-Hire Program Assistant

Cody grew up in the northeast and attained his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from University of Connecticut. A friend invited him to visit Colorado in 2021, and he has been here ever since!

His passion for education rubbed off on Cody from his mother who has been a school educator for her entire career. He has spent many hours helping out at the school where his mother worked, and also has served as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher while in between jobs. All in all, he’s spent almost 10 years educating youth, working alongside students of all ages and abilities.

Cody particularly enjoys teaching about agricultural and outdoor education. He’s worked on two different farms in program education roles, along with responsibilities for tending to the animals and the gardens. One experience was with a summer camp serving differently-abled kids, and the other a fully functional and operating farm.

In late March 2024, Cody was placed by his J. Kent Recruiter in a temp-to-hire Program Assistant role with a nonprofit organization that offers various programs educating youth outside of the traditional classroom setting. It’s been a great fit so far on both sides!

Outside of work, Cody enjoys skiing, backpacking, watching movies, and reading.

Welcome to the J. Kent Team & good luck in your new role, Cody!
