Emma has her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Education and her Master of Educational Policy and Leadership. She was an elementary school teacher for over 5 years before deciding to transition away from teaching. Although she led many programs at her school, she just didn’t see growth opportunities and had little work-life balance.
Unsure of exactly what career path to pursue, Emma decided it may be beneficial to try out temporary employment and thus connected with J. Kent Staffing.
Emma’s J. Kent Recruiter identified her for a temporary Administrative Assistant position with a commercial real estate investment firm. They needed temporary administrative support in an on-site management office in Lakewood until they made a full-time hire for their open position.
Emma knew nothing about commercial real estate but quickly demonstrated that she was both eager to learn and a quick learner. She brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude to work every day and is enjoying her exposure to a new industry.
Recently married, Emma spends her time outside of work hanging out with her husband and dog, Luna. They enjoy checking out local breweries, attending Colorado Avalanche games, and she also loves to read and travel (pictured here in Singapore).
