Brand new to Denver, Olivia first started her path with J. Kent Staffing in the Fall of 2018 as a temporary employee, working internally for us while one of our employees was on medical leave. With her positive outlook and great communication skills, together with her Bachelor’s degree and previous experience working at a law firm and for her university’s Legislative Office, she was an easy choice to hire. As her temp assignment with us was coming to an end, our J. Kent Staffing Recruiters were eager to help her find a permanent position with one of our Denver clients as we knew firsthand that she would be a huge benefit to any employer.
Olivia was the perfect fit for one of our loyal clients, an international nonprofit trade association serving the agricultural industry, who had an opening for a front office Administrative Assistant. With her degree concentration in International Studies and appreciation of the agricultural industry from having grown up on a Christmas tree farm in California, Olivia was a great cultural match. She was hired in January 2019, and just received a promotion in July 2019 to the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO!
Although Olivia had no previous Executive Assistant experience, her stellar work ethic, high attention to detail, pro-activeness, and yes – that award winning, can-do personality – gained her the CEO’s recognition and the promotion! Olivia has found a community with our client and a workplace culture that fits her interests and her background. She’s even been getting involved with her coworkers outside of work — having fun playing on the company’s kickball team! We’re happy so see Olivia moving forward with her career, and we’re glad that we could be a part of her journey.
