J. Kent Staffing Temp-to-Hire Employee Successfully Makes Transition from the Restaurant Industry

Lila

Office Assistant/Receptionist

Lila started working in the restaurant industry in high school. In 2009 she transitioned from working with a large restaurant group as a Server to an Office Administrator role in their corporate office in Houston. With her significant other in Denver, Lila was fortunate to be able to transfer with the company to Denver in early 2020. However, shortly after arriving here and with the onset of the pandemic, she was furloughed in March 2020 and then laid off in July 2020.

After 11 years in the hospitality industry, Lila set her sights on finding a position in office administration in a more stable industry.

J. Kent Staffing’s client provides IT services to small and mid-sized companies. Their business thrived in the pandemic with companies needing to set up remote work for their employees. In addition to receptionist, customer service, and overall office management duties, the company needed someone who could provide sales support and continue to develop the company’s social media marketing presence.

The company struggled to find a good candidate with their initial pay rate range, but once they increased their pay, Lila was a top contender who ended up getting hired for the temp-to-hire position.

After 3 months of proving her value and capabilities, our client hired Lila as their full-time employee in early April 2021.

Lila – Congratulations on Your New Job – We Are So Proud of You!
