J. Kent had not spoken with Kevin in almost 2 years and, out of the blue, he emailed in an updated resume letting us know he was still in the same job, with the same company as before, but open to better opportunities. Kevin was working in the same position, but unfortunately still making the same salary due to salary freezes.
Rewind this story 2 years earlier, when Kevin interviewed for a PC Support position with one of J. Kent’s Employers, a large construction company. Although the interview went great, the Employer decided to put the brakes on making a hire at that time due to the economy.
Coincidentally (or maybe it was just fate), Kevin’s email came in right at the time we were conducting another PC Help Desk search for that same Employer. J. Kent Staffing reintroduced Kevin to the Employer and the match was finally made. Kevin started his new job in April, 2010 and got the raise he was hoping for! I guess it was meant to be.
