Returning J. Kent Candidate Secures Office Manager Role With Private Family Office

Kathy

Office Manager

Kathy’s second connection with J. Kent Staffing resulted in what she is confident will be the last job in her career. Sometimes you just know when it’s the right fit, and that was the case for both Kathy and our client, a small private family office in Cherry Creek with primary business interests in oil and gas.

After losing their long-term Office Manager several years ago, our client struggled to find the right fit for their unique organization. The Office Manager position was their front office role, but also was Assistant to the President and the Controller. Kathy’s calm and friendly demeanor, and well-rounded business and life experience quickly captured their interest.

Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in German and an associate’s degree in Photography, but never pursued either of these paths in her career. After owning a couple of pizzerias in Frisco and Leadville, she had some major life changes just over a decade ago and decided to move to the Denver area and transition to a career in administrative support.

Since 2017, Kathy worked as an Administrative Assistant for a large financial services firm supporting a department of 20 people. She first met with J. Kent Staffing in the beginning of 2020 as she had grown tired of her 1-hour commute to downtown Denver. Then Covid arrived and she was able to work mostly remotely which temporarily alleviated that issue. Eventually, Kathy realized the company was just not the right long-term fit and she started her search again in hopes of finding a work home that she could eventually retire from.

J. Kent Staffing’s Office Manager position captured Kathy’s attention and she reconnected with her former J. Kent Recruiter. Within a week’s time, Kathy had an interview with our client and a same-day job offer which she was thrilled to accept. One month later, both J. Kent’s client and candidate couldn’t be happier.

Congratulations, Kathy!
