Successfully Building a Customer Service Team through Temporary Staffing!

Debbie

Order Processing & Customer Service Specialist

One of our very unique, Colorado clients is a family-owned and inspired retro appliance designer, manufacturer, and retailer. Due to the Covid pandemic, more of us are spending time cooking in our kitchens than ever before, creating an unprecedented demand for kitchen renovations and specialty appliances.

Although it’s a problem many companies would like to have, there are many challenges that accompany fast and unexpected growth. Hiring is top of the list.

Our client had not had much success finding quality customer service representatives on their own, or through the use of other staffing firms. With high turnover and high customer demand, they decided to give J. Kent Staffing a try.

Since 1979, J. Kent Staffing has truly enjoyed embracing the history and company culture of each of our diverse clients – in a myriad of industries. Our experienced Recruiters quickly got on board with our client’s struggles and got to work identifying the RIGHT people for our client. Time was of the essence – no time for interviews – they wanted us to make the hires and give those J. Kent Employees the chance to prove themselves.

Success! Since September 2020, J. Kent’s Temporary Division has hired three people for the Customer Service Team, two of whom have already been converted to full-time employees. The third individual just started as a temp the week of Thanksgiving, with quite a track record before him!

Debbie – Hired After Just Two Months as a Temp:

Coincidentally, Debbie’s previous job was at a business that was next door to that of our client, so hers was a familiar face from the beginning! Debbie’s dedication and proven stability and tenure were just what was needed. Early on in her career, she worked for an athletic club for over 20 years, doing almost every job in the company along the way and ending as Office Manager/Bookkeeper. Debbie enjoyed both the business operations as well as her extensive interactions with the club’s members.

Now, in her new role as Order Processing and Customer Service Specialist, Debbie – once again – gets to put her business and people skills to work.

Way To Go, Debbie!
