Andres is a Mexico native who moved to El Paso, Texas as a teenager. He pursued his love of cooking by getting his Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts but decided to keep that his hobby and to opt for a more stable career opportunity working in the warehouse for a large medical product supplier in El Paso. He gained 7 years of experience with this company, followed by 2 years as a Logistics Specialist for a computer distributor before deciding to relocate to Denver where his girlfriend was attending college.
Within days of arriving in Denver, Andres connected with J. Kent Staffing through a job posting for a temp-to-hire warehouse position. Our client, a reseller and distributor of sleep therapy equipment to the federal government, was in need of a Warehouse Associate but wanted to test the match using the Temp-to-Hire model to ensure they found the right fit. The position requirements were 1+ years of warehouse experience with some exposure to inventory management and solid computer skills.
With his background of working mornings operating a forklift and pulling and packing orders, and afternoons entering inventory into an online database, Andres met all of these qualifications. And with great job tenure, excellent communication skills, and a friendly demeanor, he was the obvious choice for our client.
Andres had perfect attendance during the temp-to-hire period and demonstrated his ability to work well on a team. The temp-to-hire trial period was a successful approach and, after 3 months, Andres was hired as a full-time employee by our client. Congratulations, Andres!
