Temporary, Remote Recruiter Hired for Colorado Nonprofit

Jenn

Recruiter

One of our newest clients is a nonprofit organization based in Gunnison, Colorado. They are involved in community gardens, food resources, youth education, and also have an AmeriCorps program called Healthy Futures that builds bridges from college to career for young adults seeking to gain experience in agriculture, youth education, community food security, and the environment.

They decided to put their budget excess to good use by working with a staffing agency to hire a part-time, remote recruiter. This temporary recruiting project would focus on filling 8 open AmeriCorps positions that need to start in January.

At J. Kent Staffing, we are no strangers to filling recruiter roles. Not only are we recruiters ourselves, but we help many companies hire recruiters, whether it be on a temporary or direct hire basis. So, when this company contacted us through their Google search, we were able to quickly rise to the challenge. Our client interviewed three J. Kent Candidates, and selected Jenn to start the job.

Meet Jenn – Temporary, Remote Recruiter

Jenn has a degree in psychology and worked as a Case Manager before transitioning her career into HR and recruiting in 2012. She has recruited for all different types of roles from warehouse, customer service, and route sales to high-level technical positions.

She was recently laid off and was open to temporary work while looking for her next full-time role. Jenn started this recruiting project with our client in early October and things are off to a great start!

5-Star Google Reviews!

We are grateful that both Jenn and our client contact, Skyler, have shared their positive experience with J. Kent Staffing with their recent 5-star Google reviews.

Jenn:  “I recently started a temporary assignment with J Kent Staffing. I applied on a Saturday, and Kara reached out to me on Monday. She scheduled a video screening on Tuesday, and I interviewed with the employer on Thursday. Within an hour, she reached out and extended the offer. I went into the office to complete my I9 documents and meet her in person. I started my assignment on 10/1/24. While sitting in Kara’s office, I couldn’t help but notice all the awards they had hanging on the wall—Great Place to Work, among others. I found this assignment on Indeed, and I was confident it was a legitimate employer because I had heard of J Kent Staffing over the years. I’m grateful for their time and attention in placing me within a week of applying for the role. I look forward to other opportunities with J Kent Staffing.”

Skyler:  “Hired them to help with recruitment and they found me a great contract employee to support our work. It’s been great thus far and I’m happy with the partnership!”

Thank you, Jenn and Skyler!
