Personal thank you notes after job interviews used to be a standard but – let’s face it – has become more of an exception rather than the norm. J. Kent Staffing, a Denver based recruiting and search firm, still believes that those candidates who take the time and attention to hand write and mail a well-crafted and personalized thank you note following an interview set themselves apart from the rest of the pack. At least, it certainly can’t hurt, right?
Case in point… we believe that Brooke’s communication skills, personality, bachelor degree from University of Colorado, and 5 years of office administrative and HR support experience would’ve gotten her the job with our architecture client. However, the hiring manager did make note of her appreciation for Brooke’s thank you letter which – in essence – helped seal the deal for Brooke’s job offer for as a Temp-to-Hire Administrative Assistant.
