Using Recruiters to Help Get Your "Foot-In-The-Door" for Interviews

As Denver Recruiters, one of the biggest challenges we hear from Job Seekers is getting overlooked for interviews. How do you get companies to look beyond your resume and see your potential, especially if you’ve been out of the full-time workforce for a few years? Sara’s story is a great testimonial of how staffing and recruiting firms can help job seekers get their foot-in-the-door for interviews.

After finishing high school, Sara served for 15 years in the Air Force and Florida Air National Guard. Following her service, she completed a BA in Psychology from University of North Florida and then worked in retail and temporary positions before starting a family. Sara had temped for J. Kent Staffing while she was pregnant in 2013 and then left the workforce for several years with her responsibilities as a new mother and military spouse.

Sara returned to J. Kent Staffing in 2018 when she was ready to embark on a search for a full-time career position. J. Kent’s Recruiter immediately recognized Sara’s potential and, after initially turning down an interview, J. Kent’s client agreed to trust our strong recommendation to schedule an interview with her. Our client was just as impressed as we were, and Sara quickly got the temp-to-hire job offer as Operations Specialist for a federally funded nonprofit organization that was adding staff to support newly acquired programs. After just 6 weeks of working in a temp-to-hire capacity, Sara was hired by our client and started as their full-time employee in the beginning of December.

Sara – thank you for your service to our country!

J. Kent is proud of your dedication and is looking forward to seeing your career develop!
