Warehouse Manager Rehired and Promoted to Purchasing

John

Warehouse Manager (2009) > Purchasing (2015)

John first came to J. Kent Staffing in 2009 seeking new opportunities to further his career. 11 years later, and after exploring a different career, he’s now come full-circle back to the company we originally placed him with where he’s been able to grow his career in a different direction.

J. Kent Staffing placed John in 2009 as a Warehouse Manager for a family-owned business enterprise specializing in commercial construction. He resigned 2 years later to pursue a new career with the State Patrol. However, law enforcement did not turn out to be his calling.

Once again, John returned to J. Kent Staffing in search of new opportunities. In 2011, we hired him as a Warehouse Supervisor on a long-term assignment with a government contractor that ended up leading to a full-time job position after just over a year.

As we all know, great employees leave a lasting impression, and John was still well-remembered by our construction client who had hired him in 2009. When their warehouse manager role opened up again, they reached back out to John. The appeal of the smaller, family-owned, personal atmosphere was a better fit for him, and John returned to his previous position as Warehouse Manager in 2013.

In 2015, John was promoted from Warehouse Manager to Purchasing where he manages the procurement function of the business, in addition to overseeing the warehouse and warehouse staff. Today, John continues to be a leader within the company and an exemplary employee.

John, we’re proud of you for all that you’ve accomplished and for your career growth. J. Kent Staffing is happy to have been part of your journey!
